A welding fixture is a device or tool used to hold, position, and locate workpieces during welding. Welding fixtures are designed to ensure that the workpieces are held securely in the correct place and orientation so that the welds are made accurately and consistently.
A welding fixture is a device for clamping and holding the components in a fixed position for welding; whereas a welding positioner is a device for holding the parts and moving and orienting them into a desirable position for welding, usually flat and horizontal.
